Helpful Information
- Students must pass Language Arts, Math, Science, Social Studies Health & PE, and an Elective in order to be promoted to the next grade.
- Eighth grade students need to meet the gateway standards in order to be promoted. Students must pass all core classes scoring a 3 or 4 on the EOG in Reading, Math, and Science.
- The high school registration process begins in January. Students will receive specific information about this as soon as they return from Christmas break.

- If you are seeking help for Abuse/Emergency Housing, Counseling and Support, and/or Pregnancy and STI Prevention/Support see the school counselors for a referral.
- Bullying is preventable!!!! Please encourage your child to report any instances of bullying to the school counselor’s office.
- We are happy to schedule an appointment to discuss your child. Please call or email your counselor to set up an appointment. If you have an emergency, please contact the main office.
- At Kennedy Middle School, we meet as teams, grade levels, etc…. When a meeting is scheduled, you will meet with your child's core teachers, etc…. If you would like to meet with an individual teacher, please email them or contact the office or grade level counselor to make an appointment.
- Parent conferences are generally held on Thursday’s during grade level planning times. Here are the times in which they can be held:
- 6th Grade – 2:45-3:45
- 7th Grade – 12:45-1:40
- 8th Grade – 11:20-12:15
